It is interesting that so many legends exist as folklore, and traditionally have not made it into song. This song was made for Wren Music’s Gothic Dartmoor project, and we wanted to demystify the tragic story of this young woman which is part of social history rather than myth! The legend Marilyn grew up with was the story of the fresh flowers on the grave each day.
