Chris wrote this song in celebration of the ancient burial route that makes it’s way from Bellever to Lydford across the moor. Lydford was once the largest parish in Devon and if you lived at the far extremities you had quite a trek to bury your dead in the parish church, so the Lych Way was the “express” route across the moor!
